Technical diving courses in the Maldives
I teach technical diving in Himmafushi and Maafushi, both a short boat ride from Malé, so there is no domestic flight to add to the trip. The courses run from sidemount and Tec 40 through trimix and the KISS Sidewinder rebreather.

Tec 40 / Intro to Tech
3 days
The first step into technical diving: limited decompression stops, real gas planning, and the discipline shift that separates technical divers from recreational ones. PADI Tec 40 or TDI Intro to Tech.
Tec 45 / Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures
4 to 5 days
Genuine staged decompression to 45m: multiple deco gases, failure management mid-dive, and the discipline that comes from knowing you can't abort to the surface. PADI Tec 45 or TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures.
Tec 50 / Extended Range
4 to 5 days
Air and nitrox to 55m, the ceiling of air-range technical diving, where narcosis becomes a management problem rather than a background condition, and where the argument for trimix moves from theory to lived experience.
Trimix 60 to 75m
4 to 5 days
Normoxic and hypoxic trimix for the 60 to 75m range: helium gas planning, the narcosis reversal you have to experience to understand, multi-stage logistics, and the gas supply chain that makes trimix training actually work in this region.
Advanced Trimix / Road to 100m
5 days
Hypoxic trimix to 100m: multi-gas decompression management, expedition-level planning, and failure response at the depth where consequences compound fastest. PADI Tec 100 or TDI Advanced Trimix.
Sidewinder CCR MOD1
6 to 7 days
CCR MOD1 on the KISS Sidewinder sidemount rebreather, for divers who understand that rebreathers kill at ten times the rate of open-circuit and want the training discipline that makes the difference. Expedition experience across caves, ocean, and deep walls.
Sidemount Diver
4 days
4 days, 3 long dives, 1 pool session: proper sidemount configuration, buoyancy and trim specific to sidemount, and the body mechanics that make it feel like it was designed for you.
Common questions
Where can I learn technical diving in the Maldives?
In Himmafushi and Maafushi, near Malé. Courses run from Tec 40 through trimix and KISS Sidewinder CCR, with sidemount.
Do I need a domestic flight?
No. Both islands are a short boat ride from Malé, which saves the cost and the day of a domestic flight to the southern atolls.
Are there fixed course dates?
Some. Courses are planned as batches through the season, and dates can also be set around your travel. The schedule page lists what is already planned.
