Last updated: 30 April 2026
1. Acceptance
By accessing donarundas.com or learn.donarundas.com, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the sites. These terms apply to all visitors, registered learners, and course participants.
2. Course Content and Learning Platform
Content on learn.donarundas.com, including course materials, videos, quizzes, and reference documents, is provided for educational purposes. It does not substitute for in-water training under a qualified instructor.
Diving is an activity with inherent risks. Theoretical knowledge gained through this platform must be applied only under appropriate supervision and with proper certification. Donarun Das accepts no liability for decisions made solely on the basis of online course content.
3. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Do not share login credentials. If you sign in with Google, your access is governed by both these terms and Google's own terms of service.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Creating accounts on behalf of another person without their knowledge is not permitted.
4. Intellectual Property
All course content, text, images, and materials on donarundas.com and learn.donarundas.com are the property of Donarun Das unless otherwise stated. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit this content without written permission.
Personal, non-commercial use for study purposes is permitted.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform to distribute spam or harmful content
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or systems
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute course content without permission
- Misrepresent your identity or qualifications when enquiring about training
6. Limitation of Liability
The sites and their content are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Donarun Das makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any content. Donarun Das is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the platform or its content.
7. Third-Party Services
The platform uses Google Sign-In for authentication. Use of Google services is subject to Google's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services.
8. Course Deposits, Payments and Refunds
Course places are reserved by an initial payment that covers your PADI eLearning. It is adjusted against the total course fee; the balance is payable before your first dive. Payments are processed by Razorpay — we do not receive or store your card details.
The eLearning payment is non-refundable once PADI has issued the eLearning. PADI issues it to you directly and against your own PADI account, so it cannot be withdrawn or resold once issued. For the same reason it remains yours: if you later choose a different instructor or dive centre, your eLearning goes with you and can be used towards certification elsewhere. You accept this at the time of payment.
Course dates must be booked at least 72 hours in advance so equipment and boat space can be arranged. PADI eLearning must be completed before the first day of the course.
Certification requires meeting PADI's water-skills standard — a 200 metre swim (or 300 metres with mask, snorkel and fins) and a 10-minute float. Neither is timed. You confirm you can meet this when you pay your deposit; a deposit is not refunded if you are subsequently unable to.
If you need additional days beyond the scheduled course to complete the theory or the in-water skills, these are charged at ₹7,000 per person per additional day.
If we cancel a course — for weather, sea state, or any operational or safety reason — you may reschedule to another date at no additional cost, or receive a full refund of the deposit. Diving is weather-dependent and safety decisions are final.
All divers must complete a medical questionnaire before entering the water. If a condition is disclosed that requires physician clearance and clearance is not obtained, we will reschedule your course rather than refund the deposit.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice. You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Puducherry, India.
